To celebrate this year’s World Book Day, we are very excited to launch Paramount’s Book Fundraiser

Last year, my colleague, Helen had an wonderful idea to launch a book fundraiser to help schools or community centres in having more access to books, especially in the current economic climate where costs are increasing and any available money is having to spent elsewhere.

This year we are delighted to launch our first book fundraiser with all books that are bought from the Amazon wish list, going to Belle Vue Primary School in Carlisle. The timing couldn’t be more perfect as they are currently renovating their library and are developing a specific mental health and wellbeing section.

When I spoke to Gail, the Family Support Manager at Belle Vue Primary School, she mentioned that as well as renovating the library, they are having a huge drive in encouraging their students to read outside of school and you can see from the picture below, the benefits of reading for children are huge!

It would fantastic to donate 50 books to Belle Vue Primary School by the end of June but to do this we need your help. We would really appreciate your support with this fundraiser by clicking on the link below which takes you to the Amazon wish list and buying a book (please select Paramount Book Fundraiser as the delivery address).

The books that are showing as ‘high priority’ are the books that have been selected by Belle Vue to go in their mental health and wellbeing section.

I’ll end with this lovely quote from Kate DiCamillo “Reading should not be presented to children as a chore, a duty. It should be offered as a gift.”

With huge thanks in advance for your kind help and support with this.
