Our students wish to thank to staff from Paramount Legal Costs and their clients for generously offering to buy books for the school library.
The students have picked all these books themselves so I know they are titles that they will enjoy reading. We had a lot of fun making the list and discussing what story may lay behind the colourful glossy cover image.
The library is the heart of our school, it is a place of creativity, a place of safety and a place where students, and staff, can appreciate a few moments of quiet away from the daily bustle of school life.
Books are such an important part of life, giving people the opportunity to enter different worlds, meet people and creatures they’d never dreamed of, and to have an adventure without actually leaving the comfort of their chair. The best part of my job is hearing a child tell me how much they enjoyed a book.
A lot of our students come from chaotic lifestyles, many having no access to books at home so they appreciate the library and the books that we have on offer. It is important that we have fresh, exciting books to tempt our readers, so may I add my thanks to everyone who purchases a book for our school.
