We often see Deputies writing on file notes that a task took them, for example, 2 hours, but that they are only charging, for example, 1 hour, because that is all they believe they will recover. This could result in an even lower time being allowed on assessment! Our advice is to claim the full time taken and let the Costs Officer decide what is reasonable.
