Adapting

Christine Marsh, Private Client Director, Paramount Legal Costs

Adapting, a key word throughout the challenges of Covid19. We’ve all had to adapt, from working in an office with colleagues to working at the kitchen table alone or with a partner and/or children, from dropping the children off at school to home-schooling, from fun days out and weekends away with friends or family to camping in the garden (if you’re lucky enough to have one), from daily workouts in the gym or at the pool, to daily walks and other forms of outdoor exercise.

As lockdown began in the Private Client Department, there was an immediate concern from Clients about how they were going to get their files/instructions to us, as some of them unfortunately did not have support staff anymore to prepare files for sending to us, or they were not able to access their offices. However, we adapted quickly and after discussions with them, they were able to send files electronically meaning we were able to receive matters quicker and also deal with them quicker. Our systems were already set up so that everyone could access the server from home and staff did not have to venture out to the office if there was no need. But for Clients who were unable to send matters electronically, we were able to offer to arrange collection of files directly from their homes and this has worked out very well. For those Clients who have been able to send their files as normal, we have also still managed to arrange collection and return of our DX matters, thus ensuring all our Clients are looked after in this unprecedented period.

If we can help you in this way as well, don’t hesitate get in touch, we’re here for your queries as well.
